The COO Collective The COO Collective

Nonprofit Chapter · Founding Chapter Launches 2027

Running operations inside a nonprofit is its own seat.

You translate the Executive Director's direction into execution — staff, programs, systems, funding, board expectations, compliance, facilities. Plenty of rooms exist for Executive Directors. Very few are built for the operator underneath them.

Who Sits in the Room

Senior operators, embedded full time in one organization.

COO, Chief of Staff, Chief Administrative Officer, VP of Operations, Director of Operations, and equivalent senior operators — embedded full time in one organization, with authority and influence beyond a single department.

What It Is

A small, closed, in-person peer forum.

Confidential, and built on the same Gestalt-based facilitation format as The COO Collective. Members share first-person experience about real operational issues. No advice-giving, no curriculum, no selling, no guests.

Organization Fit

Organizational complexity is what matters, not a revenue or budget line — multiple programs or locations, large staff, grant and government obligations, facilities, a large volunteer base, or many stakeholder groups all point to an enterprise-level operating seat.

Not Designed For

Executive Directors and CEOs in the top seat. Fractional COOs, consultants, and independent advisors. Junior managers, and leaders whose responsibility sits inside one narrow function.

The Conflict Screen

Seats are not filled where overlap would undermine candor. That includes meaningful competition for the same major donors, grants, government contracts, key talent, board members, referral sources, or service population.

The Membership Year

$2,750 per year, founding membership · annual or quarterly payment

Next Step

If this sounds like your kind of room.

The next step is a conversation to determine whether the fit makes sense on both sides.
